@Strider I’m pleased that Indiestone is working so hard on Project Zomboid! It’s going to be a glorious game to play when the full launch happens (when it’s ready). I was an early supporter and it warms the cockles of my heart to see this progress.

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds I couldn't agree more.

I bought the game for Desura way back in 2013 and The IndieStone also gave me a Steam key so I could switch across without paying, which I very much appreciate.

I think it's a glorious game to play now. I think the 'endgame' needs more flesh and I think B42 in large parts is there to address that concern, but the level of detail already there is still quite impressive.

@Strider I remember the Desura key to Steam issue, I played quite a bit back in those days. However, in order to be able to play the game when it's in 1.0, I set it aside. I want to have the enthusiasm to play and experience the fully realized version of Project Zomboid!

B42 is a significant leap in terms of details and making grappling situations better. Once they get the bones in place, the end game content will certainly be easier to build. NPCs may play a significant role in this.

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds The IndieStone have always been insanely consumer focused. A mod gently shot me down for suggesting the option to buy supporter packs on Reddit.
Gifting me the Steam key was smart because since then I've gifted the game several times to other people on Reddit so in effect, it's paid for itself.

B42 is really great. I'm really looking forward to it. Aside from The Wayward Realms, there is very little I'm looking forward to atm.

Yeah, the new blog post was interesting.

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds However, as indicated, the grappling will be fully fleshed much further down the line. Nice little detail, but there are many other features I'm more excited for. The new sound/music, lighting system, animals, endgame crafting. There are so many new things coming to B42 I can't remember them all!

@Strider I'm excited for all the other polishing touches, but there was a lot to that blog post so...I grappled with the thing which stood out the most (as grappling and being grappled can be very strange in the current version).

I've read about The Wayward Realms. It sounds interesting but also really easy to fuck up. My opinion is as of yet is neutral, I will play it by ear before feeling any genuine excitement. I have other games which are getting released which are giving me joy!

@WanderingInDigitalWorlds There was a more detailed blog post a few weeks ago which detailed B42, and there was a lot.

The Wayward Realms could be great, it could be utter dogshite.

The fact it's by the same people who made one of my favourite Elder Scrolls games gives me hope. Daggerfall was something brave, something different and I hope TWR will be the same. Compared with the unimaginative homogonized shite around these days, it at least has the potential to be something great.

@Strider The promise for TWR is certainly there as it's giving Daggerfall and even a bit of Morrowind in one go!

The two former leads on games which were iconic working on TWR makes me think they will be successful. It just feels like the scale is a bit too much for a small team. The modern gaming scene has pretty much killed my joy for games outside of breakout hits which weren't dogshite! Mostly indie, crowd funded, or well produced Corpo games excite me.

@Strider I might go back and read some blog posts just to catch up later...I've been avoiding YouTube whenever possible. Evil overlords (Google) poisoned my enthusiasm for it! James Stephanie Sterling is likely the only reason I even visit the site these days. Or an anime OP which isn't hosted anywhere else.
