@EighthLayer It happens, haha. Zombies are god damn EVERYWHERE, it's hard to run away from them inside towns, you just kinda keep stumbling into more and more of them.
Thankfully they are really stupid and easy to fool. If you can break line of sight with them and just hide somewhere for a while, they will forget about you eventually. Gotta be very quiet though. 🤫
@mezz Yeah I've started my second, of which I've been running for hours until the night time when I slipped away through some trees. Now I'm out in the wilderness with many cans of food, but nothing to open them with.
@EighthLayer Sounds like you'll have to get back to town and find something to help with that. Random residences can have helpful loot for just plain early survival.
Also just outta curiousity, what starting town did ya pick?
@mezz I’ve walked pretty far from town now. Found a place that has cell towers and a couple of office cabins. Got some water so rehydrated and then slept on an office chair. Still no food or anything to open my cans with.
@mezz Sorry, forgot to mention the town I picked was the first on the list, so whatever that one is called. 😅
Current plan is to continue looking for food. I have a hammer for a weapon and I’ve got a metal pipe for when/if the hammer breaks. I’ll keep walking and hope for the best.
Saved and closed for the night now though. Will probably continue tomorrow evening.
