@Strider The promise for TWR is certainly there as it's giving Daggerfall and even a bit of Morrowind in one go!
The two former leads on games which were iconic working on TWR makes me think they will be successful. It just feels like the scale is a bit too much for a small team. The modern gaming scene has pretty much killed my joy for games outside of breakout hits which weren't dogshite! Mostly indie, crowd funded, or well produced Corpo games excite me.
@Strider I might go back and read some blog posts just to catch up later...I've been avoiding YouTube whenever possible. Evil overlords (Google) poisoned my enthusiasm for it! James Stephanie Sterling is likely the only reason I even visit the site these days. Or an anime OP which isn't hosted anywhere else.
I just started playing #ProjectZomboid so I could join lolipopgi's server. I'm not sure it's a good game for me. Reset to 0 progress on death after days of work to get moderate progress is how the rest of my life works and I hate my life.
The worst part is that I never feel like I'm contributing more than I cost. Merely staying alive consumes tons of resources but what do I give back? I barely was net positive in food and water and sorted some stuff. To contribute I'd have to raise skills which consumes even more resources and requires tons of risk. It'd be better for everyone if I weren't there.
And, I get it. That's just how the game is supposed to work. But my particular bundle of neuroses makes that unpleasant.
Games are supposed to be fun. If you're not enjoying the main mechanic of the game, it's not for you. I am DEFINITELY not a Hard-Mode person. I hate losing my invested time. It's why I rarely play on test servers, and why I left Legends of Runeterra after they kept resetting the Lab. And that's okay, not everything has to be for me. ;)
Yup. One of the big fantasies that I enjoy in games is that I can make progress just by banging my head against the wall forever. The worst case scenario is that I make less progress than ideal but effort is rewarded with something.
@Omega Stimmt wohl.
eso, a seguir aprendiendo:heart_cyber::tux:
The #ProjectZomboid devs have been live tweeting the game's lore in the style of a historical retelling of the events 30 years ago (The game is set in 1993).
I'm manually reposting each tweet over at @TheKnoxEvent. I'm doing it for fun, I'm just a fan of the game.
If you like #zombie#survival#games and video game #lore, it's a cool thing to look at.
