The developer committed the grave mistake of:

• hosting his repository in the same server as some alt-right developers (something he immediately amended as soon as he found it out, but you know, historic memory is eternal)
• not block alt-right nodes in his main server, and even repost a link to a news post one such server made, without actually going and checking the profile first

As a bonus, there is a #FIrefish company already registered in the UK, so the rebrand was, in fact, legally necessary for #Iceshrimp.
