With searching becoming a standard mastodon feature I guess the need to stay on the custom fork for #universeodon becomes less useful?

What other custom features are added than these:

• Longer message lengths
• Full text searching

@cragsand Yeah exactly. So far the native full text search isn't quite the same so we may end up continuing to run our version but I'm not sure. I need to work with Byron to understand what differences were in the custom fork. We will likely maintain one as I've been considering doing one on MastodonApp.UK for a while as there are some patches out there to improve image and video quality (As they are currently heavily compressed) as well as the longer post length!
