We are recommending servers add "qoto.org" to their Fediblock lists, and where possible add IP blocks to prevent their servers crawling and fetching content. We've found tonight that despite our #Universeodon instance suspending them a week ago, a post I posted there tonight was boosted by the qoto site admin, which suggests they are actively bypassing suspensions and fetching content when they have been blocked.

If anyone has any reports of abusive moderator behavior from past #Universeodon members please sent it to me in private, I am compiling a portfolio of such incidents.
In particular abuse from @wild1145 / @wild1145 . I also am concerned with anyone from the #LGBT community or fellow minorities who were mistreated by moderation staff, if there is any issue specific to those communities I want to make sure it gets looked at.
Where this has gained some degree of attention today for the #Universeodon (and by extension #MastodonAppUK folks)
I have made use, for a while now of the minimum block list provided by @oliphant - This list combines the public block lists of a number of mastodon instances including some that I personally have had previous issues with. However, the minimum list has proven to be almost always spot on when it comes to removing servers that are known to be problematic for a range of reasons.
A couple of weeks ago that list got imported here to Universeodon, and there were a small handful (5 maybe) servers that had some existing relationship which we severed as a result of the import, which was an intentional decision on my part.
The intention behind bringing the list in was to start to align our moderation with MastodonApp, but to also try to ensure we aren't reacting to reports constantly, and that we can prevent our community from having to see content that may be upsetting.

My apologies to the folks here on #MastodonAppUK and #Universeodon where there have been delays with removing some of the spam sign-up accounts. I've been working to add a lot of new IP restrictions based on the accounts that are signing up as well as making sure we don't just catch the accounts that are suspended but also the other accounts that used the same custom e-mail domain or IP Address. It just takes a lot more time than the one click to ban the account.
I can access Mastodon at work (on Universeodon.com) through Firefox and see all the posts (text), but ALL images including profile thumbnails are blocked. Doesn't matter what browser I use. Is there a URL that I need to unblock on the network? Or a setting I should be adjusting in my browser? #question#feditips#help#universeodon#firefox
I've done a semi-sneaky update here on #Universeodon as I finally had the time and concentration to try to troubleshoot the issue with some of the apps showing 500 char limit instead of 1000, this was due to some of the custom patch code just being in the wrong place. I've checked and we are now returning 1001 characters everywhere (that I can see!)
Well it appears dear old #universeodon is having some sort of issue and the folks at #makersHour probably think I've not shown up. Darn and consternation, to put it politely.
