@lauren While I think it's gross to profit off such things, I think we've become far too demure with our reporting, and I sort of want people to be exposed to the horrors in the news.
Graphic imagery in the media helped end Vietnam, and lack of it (I'm quite sure) prolonged the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Clearly, 'reading about' the horror isn't motivating enough people to do something about it.
