@mk30@compost this looks like a perfect example of #Greenwashing. Do some token half assed gesture, add a label to it, then celebrate how environmentally friendly the company is in all their corporate advertising, allowing their downstream clients to do the same - but nothing has still changed. It's still just garbage.
This is why we don't treat these subjects. If companies don't feel like being transparent with what they put in those items, compostable items are not our concern.
@compost@TraRay at a local natural foods store, i was getting some prepared food & asked the cashier if they had plastic forks. she pointed them out & said "but they're not plastic, they're made out of potatoes or something." then she told me that the store spends nearly $1000/month just on these fancy forks! they're just like plastic though. i would not put it in my compost.
@mk30 I don't see myself explaining to people that to make a compost pile you need to take some brown material then do the same amount of compostable items and wait for the magic to happen... Laughable it is.
