@zoom_earth Seeing these videos in my feed every day gives me a few seconds to be in awe of how beautiful and powerful our world can be. It has also taught me that the vortex of a storm system is only loosely related to the clouds/storms that generate around it. Thanks for posting these.
@sharpstick Thank you! In this case, the system is “sheared”. There are levels of circulation, and here the low-level circulation has become dislocated from its upper-level circulation. This means the storm isn’t doing so well. A stronger storm will have its low-level and upper-level aligned.
