Being a leftist on the internet in which there’s a large chunk of performative leftists trying to “no true Scotsman” you at every turn is truly exhausting
“You didn’t say the exact words in the exact order I wanted you to say them in” is fairly common, and re: Israel/Palestine, its “you didn’t literally threaten bodily harm to people so you’re clearly a moderate” like…?????

Primarily, what gets me is the gall some people have to assert that your morals are inferior to theirs and you must make it right by adhering to their specific world view. It makes leftist spaces exclusionary and exhausting, ignoring the fact that it squelches opportunities to grow.
Collaborate, discuss, educate and uplift. I’ve learned so much from so many amazing people sharing their experiences. That brings genuine eye-opening insight.
