@ninjadodo@ned I am not a visual artist but I remember when Disney switched from 2D to 3D animation. The reason cited was not that 3D was less expensive or easier IIRC but that 2D doesn't sell. They did have a few flops like the two films in the screenshot and their last animated feature film, The Princess and the Frog didn't do well either. But I personally miss 2D animation. It has a certain feel to it that 3D just doesn't have.
