Looks like iOS 17.2 adds a new Small Digital time widget.
While I am still glad I added one to Widgetsmith for use in Standby because you can tweak the colors and font, it does make a ton of sense to see it added to iOS itself. I’ve heard from loads of folks confused that there wasn’t a system digital time option.
@_Davidsmith the system standby clock in 17.0 is useless for me because I don’t wear contacts at night. Zero accessibility considerations went into that default clock.
@_Davidsmith A post I wrote about this topic started to get a lot of attention yesterday. One of the suggestions I got to offset my frustration was to use your apps. 😀
