To those that have parents. Make sure to talk to them. One day you won’t be able to, and no matter how old you are, you will feel it wasn’t enough time.
I miss my dad. He passed away early this weekend. He meant so very much to me.
I am fortunate enough that it's about a 4 hour drive and I FaceTime every week. I come visit as I can (mostly during holidays I get off. Still, considering my parents are pretty up there in age, there is still that worry in the back of my mind.
My dad and I spoke on the phone every Saturday since I went to college. Mom joined in after I moved here. That’s 30 years (minus the time I lived with them before the move here. Visas suck.). It’s a crazy long time.
