@ambergrey Really wonderful - eerie and calming - loads of ambience with beautiful vocals. I like the percussion far in the background. Brushes on a snare? Just lovely. 😀
@ambergrey oh that’s really cool! I like adding ambient sounds. I recorded a wonky AC hum at my dentist’s office with my phone and put it into a song. Had to shift the pitch 3 half steps to be in key. How’d you do the clock in this track?
@NigelTufnel did you really!!!! I love that idea! Let’s see…it is behind a half note tape delay with a mild bit of flutter, on four tracks under the tube mic vocals, each panned all the way right then all the way left. Then Chromaverb with my reverb stack to push it back :blobcatcoffee:
@GuitarSith thank you so much Alan! I’m so self conscious about that final vocal stack. I really appreciate you hyping that up. :blobaww: Soooo it is a warm and close, mostly dry vocal on the main track. I recorded a second vocal track for each section with carefully placed harmonic entrances and fade offs (vocally, not with the DAW). On the harmony vocal track for each section, I added a 30% spread tape delay on the half note and added my reverb effects stack.
