The surprisingly usable #SfN23 app is showing yet again how we always overlook the need for social tooling in everything. Absolutely impossible to make heads or tails of this conference, I want to know what my friends are interested in, be able to share what things ill be at, etc. Wish I had an extra week to build this into neuromatchstodon bc the app does iCal exports, and also points to need for off-road interop tools to be able to eg. scrape websites for metadata/do a live update from an app even if it doesnt support it.
As usual I am like "this is all very cool but whats the point if its impossible to make sense of together"
