@ericdaryl well we don’t generally call it a chord when multiple instruments play the component notes of a chord.

I mean you would describe the composition as moving by from one chord to another but you wouldn’t usually say “the oboe, flute, and clarinet are playing a chord”. I mean it wouldn’t be wrong but it would be …odd.

@ericdaryl 🤦‍♀️ that 100% went over my head. I really wish there was an emoji to convey the "dad joke" body language / verbal hints we give each other when making puns like that.
