I'm slowly trying to detach myself from Notion. All these AI implementations are not what I wanted, and it feels increasingly slower/more resource hungry.
@alphonzs It's a shame that AI is slowly infecting a lot of apps only to degrade the experience instead of making it agile and easy to use...Taking a long time to deliberate the usefulness of AI and how it may affect the end user's experience is critical. I was going to try Notion at some point but now I think that I'll pass.
@WanderingInDigitalWorlds I wish it was something like an extension or optional installation, and that they put more focus on improving performance. The app doesn't really feel that much slow but it now uses more than double the memory than a year ago.
@alphonzs Double the memory usage is not good as that means there may be might have a negative impact on one's battery life. (if they use Notion on a phone or laptop).
I agree that the Notion team should've considered creating optional extensions so customers can augment their experience to their liking. Fleksy Keyboard and a lot of great apps have solid extensions for their products.
