Don't see my mutuals in the feed.
Been thinking about creating a IG or TikTok acc for fan activity (don't worry, I will be here too!)
but I'm afraid that it will be linked to my real life, phone number or FB - and that would be catastrophic for me...
@Whalienesque52 I haven’t found army on TikTok really but maybe haven’t looked liked. I see more army things on Instagram if you have to pick. I don’t know about giving info to meta 😢 I can ask my brother though! He seems to be at these things.
@cinderdazzle612@Whalienesque52 You can setup a pretty anonymous account on either Tiktok or IG .. you can use just an email addy for IG so that might be the better option for keeping your details private. Just use a free email account to set it up. Protonmail is a good option.
There's lots of ARMY on both .. but different vibes. I mainly use IG for following artists tho.
@pixelcats@cinderdazzle612@Whalienesque52 Just a tiny word of caution that Meta does link account information if you ever log into both on the same device or same wifi, even using different emails. Friends who have used burner email addresses have had their fannish (etc) insta recommended to IRL friends and fam on FB, despite never otherwise linking them. Sex workers also had a lot to say about it. Meta is the worst
Meh. I got a Threads account mostly to sit on my user name, but it's a real firehose of algorithm there. Seems to be tons of ARMYs there, but I find it chaotic and off-putting.
