@lkanies Back in 1993 or thereabouts, I was on a mailing list when some idiot recruiter posted a job ad for a web developer: "minimum 3 years experience, preferably 5".

The first reply was, "sorry, Tim B-L is otherwise occupied right now."

(It was a W3O mailing list. As Tim B-L only put the first web server at CERN on the public internet in 1991, 3 years' experience was a pretty big ask …)

Recruiters. (Pronounced to rhyme with "idiots".)

@mcnulla @lkanies because they are intended to be filled by people they already know. Job listings are just for legal requirements.
