@hotdogsladies You mentioned that you had a CAT scan with marker? I had one of those a few years ago (cancer or kidney stones, one of the two - I had both).
They asked me AT LEAST seven times if I was even slightly allergic to seafood. I asked why, and they said that if I was then the marker could kill me.
@hotdogsladies I told them I am fine with seafood, and they kept asking. When they finally injected the marker, my heart rate increased, I got tingly all over my body, my face felt like it was swelling up, and I found it difficult to breathe.
I asked them afterwards whether that was normal. They said that this is normal if you are NOT allergic to seafood. If I had been, they said I would have also been fine, but only because we were really close to the ICU.
