@larsmb kopia has web interface as GUI. Not sure but think restic doesn't?!
Other than that, not Mich difference, both do a great job.

@Barqu I'd be using them via the CLI only. So yeah, it's difficult to pick a winner.
I wonder about their efficiency at deduplication and how much bandwidth they utilize when communicating with the repo, but everything else seems fairly comparable ...

(restic has the "--exclude-if-present" option which kopia lacks and which I use with duplicity, so maybe I'll take that as the reason so I don't have to start with a PR.)

@larsmb what makes you move from #duplicity?
Based on web search, I can't find a clear winner for your criteria.

@Barqu duplicity doesn't deduplicate. But it's quite possible that if I can't pick a clear decision I'll just stick to what I've got running :-)

@Barqu @larsmb I'm not Lars, but #Duplicity feels like it's lacking features.

No deduplication, but also this bug here:

Open for 15 years, not resolved. It made handling larger backups extremely complicated (and that was 5 years ago).
