I’ve said things like that before. I’d like to understand why it’s offensive to you so I can choose to abandon that idea or not. Why does it bother you?
@mcnulla Because it's racist. It plays into the trope of Arabs being terrorists by nature. It's playing into propaganda. No one calls white people terrorists when they terrorize at home and abroad.
@StillIRise1963 i get your point, and would agree in many (or most) cases, but Israel’s actions in the past 50 years literally created Hamas (not to mention that it appears they may have funded Hamas as well). They literally did create terrorists.

I never thought of that aspect. I always thought of it in general terms, like any desperate “under dogs” treated like that could react like that. Such as during the American revolutionary against the British, Americans did things like hide in trees and shoot at officers (or so I heard) which was probably considered terrorism back then even if they didn’t use that word.
You’ve convinced me to stop saying it. It’s not how I think about what I say when those listening are offended.
