@sachac The "accepting your own solutions" article goes into the direction of your incremental lisp hacking article.

A shared takeway from both is for me that with this culture in the Emacs community, stability of established API is key. Because every change to the API is bound to break some personal modification — unseen and unseeable to the core devs — causing far more frustration than in a community in which all people restrict themselves to some large packages.

Riscy is truly wonderful. Went out of his way to improve my code when I submitted my first MELPA project. How does one know so much about Emacs and still stay kind? :P
