PSA: Now that the dum-dums are going around spreading #measles again, I thought I'd check on whether I could get a booster (like most people, I've never had one as an adult). My doctor sent me for a blood test to see if I still had antibodies. Nope! So I'm going to get boosted. I'm 49 and got all the regular American public school kid vaccines, and definitely got MMR. Anyway might be worth getting your antibodies checked if you're frequently around infants or immunocompromised people.
@webuiltthiscity Q - as someone of a similar vintage, did you ever get a booster back in the 90s? There was literature emerging back then that the 70s vaccines had issues, and I just happened to get a physical when my doc suggested to get the booster. I got it then, and a few years later at school, there was an outbreak so widespread that we had to show proof of a recent booster to register for classes.
