@epsi @JessiCum for a lot of tasks I've found it easier to pop open a jupyter notebook and write pandas code, but also I suppose b*siness majors dont know how to do that

@astrid @JessiCum in the finance world excel is pretty much mandatory, so yeah business majors wouldn't even bother learning that

tbf I don't blame them entirely, in the small business world, the shop can be wholly depending on passed down excel files with tons of shit going on in them

@bunni It wouldn't be do bad in my use case but for getting the data I want people suggest exporting the tables to LibreOffice Base and then using SQL.

Which is fine cause I'm solid with SQL but LibreOffice base is fighting against me to just let my copy and paste the results of my queries so I can use it elsewhere.

@kura @bunni I'm dealing with a mash of XLSX, PDFs and CSVs primarily from a corpo export system

But I'm not trying to convert them all to one DB or something, it's separate tasks that aren't related so I have to move from files to files.
