Took my kids to Super Nintendo World last week, and it's undeniably cool, impressive, and fun. But I was also surprised how many young kids were crying, because it's built around games small kids can easily fail playing. @crossplayblog Some of this, interestingly, is tied to existing issues with Nintendo's approach to challenge in its games, where they shy from difficulty levels and, instead, use clever design to navigate various skills levels. Often, like with Wonder, it's not enough: https://patrickklepek.substack.com/p/super-mario-bros-is-great-wonder
