@schwa Sorry to learn that.

I've had a floater the size of a large black gnat in my left eye for almost a year now. Every once in awhile it drifts close to my macula. Which really sucks.

But if it helps, over time my brain has learned to ignore it. And sometimes it kind of drifts into my blind spot and disappears.

So, bad news, it never goes away. But it does become tolerable.

Pro tip: set your device screens to Dark Mode. It really helps.

@lisamelton @schwa I’ve had them my whole life. 40 years of looking through a screen door that moves. Sorry you’re also dealing with that. Your brain adapts.

@lisamelton @schwa I’ve had three on my right eye and two on my left eye since I have memory. Guess having them when young gave me some perspective, since I used to play with them a lot (make them dance or move in patterns) when bored at school. Contrary to others, they have disappeared with time, but it may be my presbyopia that made them fade away… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

(So yeah, getting old sucks…)
