If I were to buy put options on DJT they'd be in the money and I would keep an eye on the time decay. Something you'd need to spend the day glued to a trading platform on.You can be right about the direction but too early with the trade.
Maybe I should swing trade it in a Roth, withdraw the profit and donate to voting rights groups.
@dangillmor He can sell his shares in 6 months. I expect he’ll do that for 2 reasons: 1) he needs liquidity, and 2) if he loses the election, his value will decline and the network’s value will follow for being based on his value to the network.
The issue with shorting the stock is that right now very few of the shares are tradable due to the lockouts, so the price is manipulated by a few shifty people buying and selling it trying to take advantage of the MAGA rubes. So right now shorts are very expensive and very dangerous because you don't know how long the manipulation (ie. bubble) will continue. One thing for sure is that once it goes it will drop like a rock, but this may not be until more shares become tradable.

Just stay out of the way of the falling knives for now. There's only so much that can be shorted because he owns 78%. In the near term it will be volatile and there will be short squeezes. Let the reddidiots handle the risk.
