@why I like the idea that they have to drink blood because since they're dead their body doesn't make blood anymore so that's how they replenish it. it doesn't work if you think about it but artistically it sounds good. but I imagine when you are running low on blood your entire body is probably just in terrible discomfort and pain. you have eternal "life" but it's clear you're in a remedial state that needs constant maintenance, like having a chronic illness. The dramatic metaphor of vampire as AIDS sufferer is kind of compelling to me.
@Moon@why being chronically ill is actually part of why I vampires too for that reason when they're written that way, it's not just because they are sexy
@vriska@why the sexy part is interesting to me also because like, I used to read the marvel dracula comics. he exuded powerful eroticism as a tool for manipulation but he could not actually have sex because of the being dead thing, neither physically, or even feel anything when women were strongly erotically drawn to him. you could call him count cuckula.
