@decryption yeah you’ve had way worse luck than me, but it’s definitely not uncommon.
I’ll likely do the same when the warranty is done, but like you said I’m still not blown away by the alternatives. Most decent ones are still $10k or more above the M3 and I already feel uncomfortable enough sitting at the $60k range for a car
@decryption yeah I’m not wild about the MG4. I had my eye on an EX30 but it’s a real shame they couldn’t keep it to $60k. VW seems like the best bet, but even the Cupra Born is over $60k which doesn’t bode well for the VWs IMO. Guess we’ll see
@tizaks@decryption I got a BYD Atto and have to say it's fucking amazing! Personally I'd have gone the BYD Seal but my wife wanted the higher ride height.
The Seal is more of a BMW/Merc competitor than a Tesla competitor imho, it's that nice a fit and finish.
@decryption@tizaks Fair enough yeah. I'm just happy that car designers are trying different looks and experimenting a bit. That won't work for every customer of course but I think that's preferable to everything being boring 😀
BTW you need to book online for a BYD test drive - worth doing just for fun - and weekends are booked out for many weeks. Weekdays are when I went, that wasn't too bad.
@bazscott@decryption yeah the BYD interiors are pretty wild at times 😂 but it’s interesting having another competitor. A friend has a Seal on the way, I should go check it out too. Unfortunately still not massively cheaper than an M3
