i feel like i've said this before, but i just hate it so much how common police control has become when crossing european borders. entering bavaria from austria by train the first thing that happens is an announcement that border patrol will stop and search the train, please keep your ids and passports ready. the bavarian government is proud to show no mercy against migrants, and the tension is felt among all passengers. there is no way to fortify your borders without fortifying the society they are allegedly protecting
