I hate this planned obsolence.

10 years ago, computers already had pretty much power.

Everything, except for high performance games and 4K video editing should still run smoothly.

My old Aldi laptop (from 2009) also needs to be replaced¹ because some keys (not the important ones, yet) don't work anymore (too much coffee), but I can't find anything as good, which doesn't cost above 700€.

So much for technological progress.

@sylvia Mine is from 2012, and I’m sad it no longer runs the latest OS. It’s mostly fine, I’m able to work with it.

@maique @sylvia Mine's from 2013, and same thing. For most stuff it's fine. The main thing showing it's age is Safari which for no good reason is limited by the OS version.

@hl @sylvia I have stopped using Safari a while back. Always moving between browsers at the moment. Safari felt sluggish, for years.
