@PaulInRainCity Vampire Weekend is technically skilled, slightly psychedelic indie art pop. They are fun live in a not very deep way, I would not go out of my way to see them again but I did enjoy it. But I personally am not a fan of Mike's solo stuff except the Leo Kottke duets, so for me, no.

@mrcompletely @PaulInRainCity I’m also very much a fan of the collaboration between Mike Gordon & Leo Kottke. I had the opportunity to see them play together at the Mountain Winery in Saratoga CA in 2005, such a unique pairing.

@chip @PaulInRainCity I'm a huge, huge a Leo fan so that has been one of my fav projects since day one. I would've thought that a bass player would be entirely redundant if not clashing with Leo's very full style and quirky phrasing but Mike fits with him really well
