Oh and in case these acts seem like a good thing, they're really from a bunch of lobby groups who want to block regulations so that manufacturers wouldn't have to put in extra effort to make a better product for the consumer or the environment.
Just assume that most of this stuff is anti-regulation and pro-shareholder. All of these acts are also copy-pasted to fill the schedule and make it impossible to discuss anything else that might be useful. I wonder how much money the gov wastes on this.
@afilina This is largely a product of the current fuckheads in the Republican Party, inventing fake controversy (and fake "solutions") to distract from how awful and stupid and all-the-things-ist they are. This is not "government", this is conservative dipshits. Also, the same assholes blocking aid to Ukraine.
@dr2chase Regardless of who is ultimately responsible, I'd argue that a system allowing this to happen is fundamentally broken, same as a system that allows one man to prevent a House vote. This all sounds undemocratic and needs urgent reforms.
