Out of a whim, I decided to get my 10 year old #Cintiq 13HD Companion Hybrid out of storage. #Wacom no longer supports this model, but I got it to run with their oldest driver that supports Windows 11.

I'm not sure what I will use it for, but it was fun trying out the different brushes with #krita . These days I use #Inkscape for most of my graphical design work, but it's nice to have options.

One nice thing about Linux (in general) is that hardware drivers never get old. They just sort of, stick around for as long as they're useful.

So these old models use the latest wacom drivers.

@doctormo I mainly stick with Windows for gaming purposes (also, Notepad++ is awesome).

But I can definitely see the attraction of a backup PC using Linux.

@juergen_hubert ah, I got one of those, too. So much nicer than the full pc model!

@halla Well, their Android installation has not been supported in a long time, so I am hesitant to use that option.

But I've recently made a massive upgrade to my desktop PC, which should be a real boon for working with large canvases.
