I'm Jewish. Criticism of Israel is not antisemitism, and it's become a huge problem that those things have become conflated. Most criticism I read of Israel is not antisemitic, and in my opinion much of it is justified.
With that as preface, I want to say that I do think the statements this student made are antisemitic.
