Anyway I need the IP people to tell me if there's a theft of trade secrets claim here and the contract people to tell me if there's a violation of the implied covenant of good faith.
@annmlipton hard time imagining a trade secret claim (relevant case law that boils down to “can I see it from over the fence?” would seem to apply) but suspect some of the involved states must have generous reads on fair dealing.
