If I understand what you're thinking here, you want a USB 3 hub that doesn't just push every port down to USB 1 speed when a USB 1 device is plugged in, yeah?
@PaulWay no, more like a USB proxy - downstream USB1/2 devices get enumerated by the proxy which works as a USB1/2 host to the devices, and appear on the USB3 bus as device endpoints added and removed by the proxy. The signaling towards the USB3 host is only USB3, not dual USB1/2 and 3 like a normal USB hub does
