The Getty Museum released high resolution images of ~87,000 artworks it owns under the @creativecommons CC0 free culture license. More museums should do this!
You can print and sell Vincent van Gogh’s famous irises as much as you want, but the hope is that people will remix and build new masterpieces on the culture that came before them.
