Portland City Council, high on reactionary conservatism, accuses dead pedestrians of drug use in order to distract from their own car addiction. Do you see a lot of well-to-do people walking on streets with no sidewalks? Cause and effect must be so confusing to dan 🤦 who elected these idiots?

It relies on infrastructure and design to prevent serious injury and death", Portland continues to make excuses for cars rather than take action, officials wring their hands about lack of funding instead of demanding options that fit within existing budgets. Meanwhile repaving streets with overpriced car-centric designs that trade safety for speeding and free parking.
Could we at least get one excuse per traffic fatality out of the mayor, not the same few recycled weak claims and attempts to pivot to policing and victim blaming? Can't even close one lane of traffic for more than a few hours per death. 😞
