"DEI" "culturaly diverse" etc etc etc
affirmative action: you need to hire minorities (blacks) in your business, but it's definitely not a quota (but if you don't meet your quota the federal government sues you)
diversity: more black people; good "ethnic" restaurants in gentrified neighborhoods that ran out all the minorities (all restaurants entirely staffed by Mexicans in the back)
DEI: investor encouragement to include checklists of liberal white lady bullet points in your creative output, also not coercion! (except the blackrock guy said they were forcing businesses.) Studies have found that forcing creative output to conform to checklists of unpopular and nonsensical changes will improve profits (it didn't but that was due to sabotage.)
equity: "you dont have enough black people" "okay hire less white people" "but we're overrepresented by asians and underrepresented by whites in our tech company" "shut up and do it"
land acknowledgement: acknowledge that your ancestors stole land from other people whose ancestors stole the land. Just acknowledge it, don't give it back and don't stop inviting more foreigners to further victimize the first group's claim to the land.
