@jsit@atrupar Other presidents had depressions, world wars, major terrorist attacks, stock market crashes, financial crises, Wham breaking up. None of them were the worst. Trump was the worst. Don't make excuses for him.
And Obama still had a net positive at then end of his first term and even more at the end of his second, not so with trump.
Even without the pandemic… trumps first 3yrs avg monthly jobs were 23% less than Obama’s final three years, so still anemic.
And that was with being handed an economy running on auto pilot... and trump still managed to fck it up... then failed abysmally with the pandemic making job losses even worse.
@tdwllms1 I am by no means saying Trump was good or Obama was bad. I’m only saying that blaming the entirety of Trump’s jobs numbers on his performance alone, and accusing someone of apologia or both-sidesism for pointing out that this directly coincided with a global pandemic, is inane.
Trump can be a shitty person/president and have been dealt a rotten hand.

I have no choice... he was the president claiming jobs numbers were stellar... when they weren't.. he claimed he built the greatest economy ever.. when his 3 yrs GDP was only .1 better than Obama's final three years... 2.5 v 2.4.... trump earns and deserves every second of negativity. And then he took a really bad situation and made it far far worse. He's earned it. So, no slack offered from me.
As for K Tur, she's talked out of both sides for a while now. I'm so disappnted in her. She even both sided E.Jean Carrol. Maybe she's afraid of trump world for the abuse she received, god knows he's an abuser, ask Cheri Jacobus about that she has a tale to tell.
But, he made it even worse of a bad hand. He alone decided it was more important to focus on his campaign, at the expense of the nation and then decided it was A-OK to grift off it instead of put the best people in charge of it.
