There can’t really be only 10 people on Mastodon who toot their way through . Which means there’s something wrong with how I’ve got this set up, right? Horror.hub alone should have hundreds. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

@BeachsideReader If a person posts, and they aren’t followed by anybody on your instance, you won’t see that post in a hashtag search.

One solution would be to go to the hashtag page on different instances and follow everyone who uses it.

Something I get from Mastodon’s particular brand of anti-establishment sentiment is this kind of anachronistic vibe? It all kinda feels like this very earnest, 80s/90s, Adbusters, Berkeley, Whole Earth Catalog, almost boomer-leftie feel to it.

@tdwllms1 I am by no means saying Trump was good or Obama was bad. I’m only saying that blaming the entirety of Trump’s jobs numbers on his performance alone, and accusing someone of apologia or both-sidesism for pointing out that this directly coincided with a global pandemic, is inane.

Trump can be a shitty person/president and have been dealt a rotten hand.

One of the absolute worst degradations in modern/mobile UIs is the way tap targets are constantly moving as content is dynamically loaded.

Many times I have tapped the wrong thing because something has moved.

I have even sometimes hovered my thumb millimeters away from the screen, waiting to be sure nothing will change, and the moment before I make contact, the content of the screen changes and I tap the wrong thing.

Hey @Gargron quick question, why is Biz Stone on the US non-profit board for Mastodon? He’s clearly still invested in Twitter and Instagram as platforms, posting at both places but only uses Mastodon to syndicate his Medium posts. I’m not seeing any action to indicate any passion or interest in the fediverse whatsoever.

It’s curious, is all.
