I'm getting so sick of people who don't live in the US insisting that Biden and Trump are basically the same thing.
Maybe just sit down and shut the fuck up on this one?
Is Biden a deeply flawed, and even bad candidate? Absolutely!
But Trump is a literal fascist wannabe dictator. We're voting on the difference between open and rigged elections. On women's access to healthcare. On the lives of immigrants. On whether or not LGBTQ people are full humans equally deserving of human rights. /1
He's pro-genocide. He's continued Trump's awful immigration policies. He's done nowhere near enough on the environment. He's failed in many, many significant ways.
But he and Trump are not the same, and anyone telling you otherwise is either stupid, a liar, or both. /2
@cferdinandi I think for some people, repeating that they’re the same to anyone who will listen (and also some who won’t) is a way of burnishing their BlueAnon credentials.
@cferdinandi The reason they say that is because when it comes to a lot of peoples’ lives, it’s true. The U.S. drops bombs on people and rigs elections all over the globe regardless of who’s in office, so it doesn’t make a lick of difference to them whether the person signing off is a Democrat or a Republican.
All the bad shit that Trump might do to Americans is the same stuff that America already exports to the global south, but we only care when it’s American lives being threatened.

Stay at home with your crazy politicians, your robber barons and their multinationals, your G.I.s and their military bases, your secret services, and then maybe we'll shut up.
Otherwise we'll continue to see them all as the same.
