So instead of an apology for not getting back to speakers about their submitted talks, try to use it as an opportunity to hustle conference tickets.

“but now we have to, unfortunately, regret.” LMAO

@anderseknert Sorry, talks aside. But 1000 euros for attending the conference?? Is that a typo??

@AlexB I’m afraid not. Isn’t KubeCon similarly priced? I’ve never paid for a conference myself, so I’m very much aware of my privilege around that.

@anderseknert Individual early bird for Kubecon is $400, and goes up $600, $700, $800 (at the door).
I just find €1k to be really ouch, especially as "prime offer". At that price, it's not really accessible?

@AlexB ah, yes, I think the difference is that there is no “individual” option here. Anyone going to EIC is pretty much assumed to be there for their job. No, definitely not accessible.

@anderseknert This looks like a poor google translate "message". Is this EU organised?

@humanhorseshoes yes, EIC in Berlin. If you’re running a conference where €1000 per ticket is considered a PRIME price, perhaps you could afford hiring a translator, or I dunno, just ask a colleague to read the text before you send it out.
