I guess maybe I sound a bit ungrateful. I’ve had dry spells between jobs, where I was lucky to find much of anything.

But, the absolute low-balling random people will give you is just astonishing. I didn’t even apply for your crummy job! I have no idea who you are!

@deadsuperhero usually I reply with like "I'm happy to chat! My starting pay is $85/hr" or similar.

@deadsuperhero I legit had the same dude hit me up in Indeed multiple times after the first time I told him I don't even consider jobs that don't post their pay range in their listing... dude's response was "we don't waste peoples' time by posting pay range" and I was like "you waste peoples' time by not pasting a pay range", and then he got butt hurt when I reported him for spamming me. (Fuck Indeed though, they passed my feedback to him without even bothering to anonymize me, so dude came back against my calling him a spammer for hitting me up multiple times after I told him no.)

Employers are such trash, so are recruiters.
