"MA Adopts Six-Person Juries"

News to me! I'm a legal transcriptionist who works on Massachusetts Superior and District Court matters. I do primarily criminal, so maybe six-person juries are flying on the civil side, but other than District Court - where it's the norm - I've not yet come across a six-person jury in a Superior Court criminal trial.

Interesting! Thanks for the insight. I work with MA attorneys on the civil side (sales tax reassessment defense) pretty regularly but the stuff I work on doesn't go to trial all that often.

I am somewhat skeptical of the notion that we can yet know if there is truly no prejudicial effect -- seems like something we will only know with more data.
