Are there any music interfaces that work like weaving? Instead of threads, streams of notes/data... somehow. Maybe something that @yaxu or @neauoire know something about? I made a quick GIF-sketch just to try the idea...

GIF-animation of a music interface inspired by weaving. Note sequences on the horizontal warp and octave/trigger sequences on the horizontal weft.

@goto80 @neauoire Tim Ingold did a sort of woven sound: http://igor.gold.ac.uk/~mas01tb/WovenSound/wovensound.html
I experimented with tabby/plain weave a bit: https://penelope.hypotheses.org/187

@yaxu that super nice experiment! it's exactly the kind of 'simple' mechanisms that i'm curious about, in combination with a visual interface. and that made me think about adding a third dimension too, hehe..

@goto80 lovely! It'd be interesting what happens with other woven structures, like twill (e.g. denim) and satin
