@zdl@Catvalente Well sure, you can say that, but those arguments are cop-outs, escape hatches from having to deal with evil - or in other words, easy. Like those perpetrating the evil, this is bystanders also choosing the path of least effort.
All it takes is for good people to do nothing, but the problem is, doing nothing always going to be easier than doing something. Are good people doing nothing still good, or are they really just passive agents of the same evil...?
@jwcph@Catvalente I think you misunderstood because I miscommunicated.
Those arguments (correctly identified as cop-outs) are why I think "good" is often quite stupid. There's a certain level of optimism you find in the "good" that reaches the point of stupidity when held for so long.
Every one of these cop-outs is stuff I've heard from people who've SEEN SHIT. It drives me up the wall every time.
