@anilmc I’m very suspicious of any philosophy that dismisses the unknown and possibly unknowable as nonsense simply because it’s hard to work with and disruptive.
But I understand the impulse if you are joyfully constructing a clockwork knowable model of the universe and eventually getting the model mixed up with the actual article.
St. Thomas isn’t so bad on this kind of thing — but Descartes is like Bertrand Russell … too dismissive of anything that isn’t math.
